180 Degree Rule
The 180 degree rule is basically capturing the action and everything that happens during the shot. You can also take closures or angles where you film only one character, but the 180 degree rule will capture the whole scene.
When a closer shot is taken, the camera must film over the other person’s shoulder. The same thing applies when the other character is talking.
Rule of thirds:
The frame is divided into nine imaginary squares and helps with framing the image. The rule of thirds will make the viewer look at the composition and not only glancing at the centre.
