This is the original picture I will be using for my experiments in Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro
Photoshop:
First thing that I did (after I imported the image) was to go to Filter. Then I picked Stylize and Solarize. This darken the sky, which is what I wanted.
Then I changed the opacity to 87% and I filled it to 75%. The next step was to erase everything apart from the sky and the buildings.
After that, I went to layer and once again I picked Stylize, however this time I chose the oil paint effect.
This effect made the buildings look like a painting, however the effects is not that visible if you don’t look up-close.
After Effects:
The first thing I did was to import the image in After Effects. Then I went to Effect, at the top, chose Color Correction and then CC Toner. This was to give the kind of vintage effect.
And when the effect showed up, I blended the effect with the original image up to 22.8%.
After that, I went back to Effect, at the top, and this time I chose Brightness & Contrast.
I then decided to add rain to make it more dramatic and interesting.
I also added the effect ‘Light Rays’ for lightening the image
Another effect I used was ‘Smear’:
I decided that a bi of the effect ‘Glow’ would make it even better:
And for the last effect, I added a second effect of Brightness & Contrast.
Premiere Pro:
First thing that I did was to drag the image on my timeline. Then I used the effect ‘Lens Flare’. To add the effect, I dragged it into my timeline over the image.
After adding the lens flare, I wanted to give some colour to my image so I went to Lumetri Color and clicked ‘Basic Correction’ These were the settings I used to add the colour:
Then I went to give the image some more colour and I clicked the ‘Creative’ option also from Lumetri Color:
Final Project:
For my final project, I decided that’s is best if I do it in After Effects.
I started by importing the video and then I created a Solid:
Then I added the Fractal Noise
And these were the settings I used:
Then I went on with another effect
These were the settings I used:
Output Cycle:
Blend with the original: 19%
I also changed the mode from the solid to Overlay.
The last effect I added was CC Light Rays and these were the settings:
